No-Sew Reptarium Gear Instruction Page

What You'll Need:

2 yards of fleece (In most cases. If you have a 260 Gallon, then you MAY want to get 3 yards)

24-ish Plastic Rings

(count how many you want on your reptarium, go from there)

I get my plastic rings from WalMart in the fabric section. They are called "Craft Rings" and only come in colors.

Bottle of some sort (Wine, Water, Beer, Soda, Orange Juice...)

I suggest the wine bottle, only because it's taller and it is easier to grip because of it's height.

*** IMPORTANT! ***

Before Starting, measure the bars in your reptarium. You'll need these measurements to estimate how long to cut your fleece.

Also check which way your fabric stretches! You need to cut the fabric so that it stretches longer while you're braiding.

Instructions:

Cut fleece strips, about 2" wide and 2 times as long as your reptarium measurement.

(Rept Length or Width x 2)

My 260 Gallon Reptarium in 30 inches wide.

I cut my fleece 60" x 2" as shown below.

(Bulldog not included)

Here is the wine bottle I used.

I recommend a taller bottle just because it's easier to hold on to.

Take the ends of 3 pieces of fleece and tie them together.

Put them around the bottle and start braiding.

Once you get about a foot braided,

slide a ring into the braid as shown.

When you're all finished and you only have about 5" left, tie the 3 pieces back together around the bottle again.

This pretty much completes making the no-sew gear, you'll just need to slip it on a bar and twist it around now. Here's a picture to give you a better understanding.
